Here are 3 ways to PLAY FASTER as a Linebacker:

1. Improve your READS

There are different ways to read a play.

You can use a Triangle Read (my favourite), a Backfield Read, whatever.

Regardless of the method you use, spend time developing your READS and REACTIONS.

It’s the best way to get a head start on the play.

2. Use EFFICIENT Movements

SPEED is great, but EFFICIENCY is also key.

Don’t waste steps, take great angles, and work on changing directions.

Master the Shuffle/Scrape/Shoot and always play DOWNHILL.

3. AVOID BLOCKS when you can

You don’t need to take on every block.

Sure, at times, it’s necessary.

But out in space you can often avoid the block with SPEED.

Build your toolbox and be ready for any block.
