ClubFirst is about transforming the way amateur sports clubs, community groups and local charities raise vital funds in a sustainable and repeatable manner.
Flashback: some findings from January 2020 club fundraising survey. How important are club fundraising activities when comparing pre/post covid 19 pandemic. Interesting to find that 100% respondents would purchase promotional items only 24% have been involved in selling them!
@RichardDeane77 @Dalkeydan @chrismmgordon@socentie Fully agree @RichardDeane77 #SocEntIRL There needs to be a means for weighting the benefit to the community versus the financial saving of awarding to the lowest bid. Just because the benefit may not be tangible that does not mean that it is any less valuable to society.
@socentie As a previous Biz owner for 15 years, I have always found that by treating people well they will do the same in return. I hope to bring what I have learned in the private sector to help me develop a Socent that is personally fulfilling & benefits the local communities

@duncanwalker70@socentie The Power of Habit. An excellent book by Charles Duhigg which talks about the habit loop of 'Cue-Routine-Reward' and how small incremental changes make the big difference. He also talks about will power as being a finite resource that needs managing.

@socentie Thanks all. This was my first time engaging in an an open forum like this across any social media. I found it enjoyable and extremely encouraging that there are other like minded people out there that have not only the same concerns but also the same desire to do some good.
@socentie@socentie It is early days and I have not fully launched the socent yet. My aim is to provide community groups with the means to generate sustainable and repetitive fundraising revenue while simultaneously enhancing their brand/standing within the local community.
@RichardDeane77 @socentie If people believe that Socents are too commercialized it may be much more difficult to convince them of the benefits the product/services will bring to the local communities. The perception could be that Socents are currently a Fad and will take time for it to become mainstream.
@From_Fiona A great idea, I am currently setting up a social enterprise/profit-with-purpose biz (not sure how to define it yet!) and one of the first things I am doing is to create a stamp for products/services that have a verifiable financial benefit to community customers

@ConallMcD@DeirdreGarvey A sound thought process. Lets hope as a global community we are moving quick enough to bring this virus under control and mitigate against any unnecessary loss of life.
