Sad to hear that Cllr Flo Shaugnessy has passed away. A lovely lady who worked so hard for the people of Maldon. Will be greatly missed by many. A great supporter of our club. Shortlisted for club of the year at the B E awards on Saturday thanks to Flo. Hope we win it for her.
Thank to Maldon Town Coucil for awarding our greenkeeper the Sporting Volunteer Award at the annual awards night at Maldon Town Hall. MTC have been great supporters of the club especially Cllr Flo Shaugnessy who was mayor at the time when we needed support to get funding.
Maldon Bowling Club has been shortlisted for the Club of the Year award at the Bowls England Awards night in February. The award is for management and achievemnet throughout all areas of the club. Well done to all our members who have given up their time to make this possible.

CMBL div 1 winners trophy presented to Alan Brand the teams longest serving player. He is looking forward to defending the league championship title next season aged 92.
Maldon making the news again. This time front page news following our presentation day last week when someone decided to park their car across our entrance blocking in over 60 people who were unable to leave.
Very sad to hear that club member Roger Martin has passed away today. Our thoughts are with wife Tina and family. A popular team mate bowling and working on the grounds as part of our gardening team. Will be greatly missed.
Our A team picked up the Chelmsford and District Div 1 trophy at the weekend. Well done all. Also Andy Squire was presented with a special award for winning the two wood competition for the 25th time. A great achievement.

Lovely weather this afternoon for our Essex County ladies patrons day. Pleased to be hosting this event again. Thanks to all our volunteers for providing our visitors with an excellent meal after the game. The day went really well.
Great achievement by Andy Squire winning the C and D 2 wood final at Tillingham yesterday. This is the 25th time he has won this competition a record which will probably never be broken.
