"Mars Needs Moms" is based off of a book by "Bloom County" cartoonist Berkeley Breathed of the same name. The story revolves around 9 year-old Milo who learns the importance of family when his mom is abducted by Martians & he has to rescue her.

"The Misadventures of Merlin Jones" is a 1964 science fiction comedy starring Tommy Kirk & Annette Funicello about a college student that inadvertently invents a helmet that allows him to read people's minds. It was followed by a sequel the next year.
