🚨 HUNTER VOWS TO KILL YELLOWSTONE’S OLDEST WOLF — HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP STOP IT

Yellowstone’s extraordinary 12-year-old wolf 1090F has survived brutal winters, rival packs, injuries and everything nature has thrown at her.

Now she could be killed simply for crossing an invisible line drawn by humans.

1090F is one of the oldest wolves ever recorded in Yellowstone and Wyoming and a celebrated member of the historic Mollie’s Pack — whose story stretches back to the restoration of wolves to Yellowstone in 1995.

But Wyoming’s wolf hunting season in Wolf Hunt Area 1 opens SEPTEMBER 15.

And one hunter has made his intentions very clear.

Big Piney-area outdoorsman Mitch Gilliam told Cowboy State Daily:

“I plan to be there on Sept. 15.”

And when specifically asked about 1090F, he said:

“If I see her, I’ll harvest her.”

Gilliam even acknowledges what an extraordinary animal she is, saying that surviving to 12 means she is “obviously a smart wolf.”

But he argues that because she’s old and declining, perhaps shooting her would be preferable to allowing her eventually to starve or be killed by another wolf pack.

He also dismisses the emotional connection people have developed with Yellowstone’s famous wolves:

“It’s not a cartoon character; it’s a wild wolf.”

Gilliam has previously publicly defended Wyoming’s wolf-management policies and advocated removing federal Endangered Species Act protections for wolves across the Lower 48.

He also organised a counter-demonstration against protesters campaigning over the infamous Cody Roberts wolf case and said he had subsequently become friends with Roberts.

Now Gilliam says he intends to hunt in the region where Mollie’s Pack has been travelling.

And he isn’t the only one.

A Nevada social-media account called Kyri Ranch has also publicly targeted 1090F, reportedly declaring:

“The matriarch 1090F is going down on the 15th of September.”

Thankfully, most of Mollie’s Pack has now returned inside Yellowstone. But wildlife managers warn that these wolves could cross the park boundary again.

The moment 1090F crosses that invisible line during the hunting season, she becomes vulnerable.

🚨 SO WHAT CAN WE ACTUALLY DO?

The Wyoming Game & Fish Commission is the wildlife policy-making authority in Wyoming, and campaigners are demanding an emergency temporary closure of Wolf Hunt Area 1.

Public pressure is already reaching Wyoming from around the world. One Wyoming Game & Fish commissioner confirmed receiving messages from across the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

But please keep it peaceful and lawful. Do not threaten hunters, interfere with a hunt or harass individuals. Put the pressure on the officials who have the authority to change wildlife policy.

1090F has survived 12 years in one of the toughest environments on Earth.

She deserves the chance to live out whatever time she has left naturally.

DON’T LET AN INVISIBLE LINE BECOME HER DEATH SENTENCE.
