@DGlaucomflecken OR nurse here - General surgery is my favorite. I have learned far more “specializing” in general surgery than I ever did working on siloed teams. General surgeons cover anything from your lipoma removal to breast cancer to life threatening traumatic injuries.
@diggityd08 @dvassallo I’m an OR nurse and help with a lot of pediatric dental cases (in a hospital.) The anesthesiologists I work with perform nasotracheal intubations (through the nose into the throat) so the mouth stays unobstructed for these (necessary) procedures.
@TheRyanHamilton Please keep sharing your story. I used mine as a case study in trauma-informed care during an interview for my dream job a week later, and I started that job yesterday. Our babies and stories will continue to change minds and hearts if we are brave enough to talk about them.
@TheRyanHamilton It was such a devastating experience, and I walked through it with incredible medical support. I am so sorry that you and your wife were put through so much unnecessary pain and heartache in a situation that is already so full of pain and heartache. You deserve better. We all do.
@clhubes I have hated my chin my whole life. No matter my weight or how I hold my head or do my makeup I always have a double-chin. I’ve always despised it. Then I had my son, and he has my chin. It is SO cute, and only gets cuter when he smiles. Now I think it’s perfect.
