Collaboration is the foundation of Universal Health Coverage. 🇰🇪 Carolyne Stanley for @CmmbKenya joined PS Mary Muthoni & partners to align on national health priorities, from primary care to stronger CSO-Gov coordination. We are Excited to contribute to a healthier Kenya! #UHC
Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, today convened a consultative meeting bringing together the Ministry of Health, development partners, civil society and community organisations to strengthen coordination across Kenya’s public health sector.
The engagement focused on aligning partner support with national priorities, while advancing disease prevention, health promotion and system resilience. Deliberations underscored the need for practical, community-driven approaches to reinforce primary healthcare and improve health outcomes.
The Principal Secretary reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to building strong, results-oriented partnerships to enhance service delivery and accelerate progress towards Universal Health Coverage.
She also rallied support for the upcoming Kenya Public Health International Conference (KEPHIC 2026), calling on partners to actively engage in planning and resource mobilisation to position Kenya as a regional leader in public health, climate action and health security.
The meeting was attended by Dr Margaret Lubaale, Chief Executive Officer of the Health NGOs Network (HENNET), alongside other senior officials.
