@GeoffBreeze1 You:
That Certain Person is a transphobic bigot.
That Certain Person:
Erm … that’s absolutely not true, Geoff. That’s an appalling false allegation to announce about someone both on Twitter and on podcasts.
You:
Why won’t that Certain Person leave me the fuck alone?
#FAFO
@GeoffBreeze1 "I wasn't part of the show. I posted a couple of comments."
You participated in a pile on, falsely calling me a transphobic bigot for 'misrepresenting' the #CassReport.
As the final report today shows, I misrepresented nothing and people like you are a big part of the problem.
@noelkelly@JHamillHimself@MichaelJackByrn Are you genuinely unaware that there are other kinds of ceremonies and blessings in the world, other than the Roman Catholic variety? Okay.
A Pastafarian blessing can be quite similar to a Roman Catholic blessing, except we use spaghetti-water.
Praise be His noodly appendages.
That's not ad hominem, @drsjcostello. That’s criticism of your position. You argued that non-Catholics can be excluded from public events based on their beliefs, because you have decided what activities are and are their “thing”. That's an argument for unlawful religious bigotry.
@2Otoole4School@Gretcie@soconfhaola Well, I didn’t see you there the last time I was protesting outside the Saudi Embassy, Ross. Perhaps you were too busy insisting that public bodies must prohibit anything that is “intentionally inflammatory” towards your preferred religion … you know, just like the Saudis do.
@2Otoole4School@Gretcie@soconfhaola 2/2
What is entirely illegitimate is for a judgement based on what is “inflammatory to the Catholic faith” to decide how any public body conducts its business.
That is literally the definition of an authoritarian theocracy.
Praise be His noodly appendages.
@2Otoole4School@Gretcie@soconfhaola 1/2
A State body has spent 75 years using public money (raised from those of all faiths and none) to arrange an annual Catholics-only event.
It is perfectly legitimate for any non-Catholic to request that they might participate (nobody asked for the blessing to be stopped).
