Repair work related to a 10-inch waterline break that occurred Dec. 16 continues this morning. E Oakland Ave between N Roan St and Bristol Hwy will remain closed for most of today, Dec. 17. A lane of N Roan St headed toward Boones Creek has also been closed.
Crews are working to repair a waterline break at the intersection of North Roan Street and Oakland Avenue. Drivers are urged to avoid the area until further notice.
Contractors will mill and pave the 2000 block of East Unaka Avenue. Wednesday, Dec. 17. During construction, temporary lane closures will impact traffic between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Emergency vehicles will be able to pass.
A Water & Sewer Services tap installation at 904 N. State of Franklin Rd. near Skyline Dr. will cause lane shifts on Dec. 16 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lanes will return to normal configuration once all necessary work is completed.
