A local man has been charged with multiple offences following his arrest by police firearms officers.
Mark Macias, 34, of Laguna Estate, will appear before the Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.

It has been an extremely busy week for all of @RGPolice Teams. From dealing with an arson attack, to serious assaults, serious domestic abuse incidents, serious road collisions and so much more. I am grateful to them all for their efforts in keeping us all safe.

Last night saw @RGPolice Response officers responding to a large fire, supporting our @Official_GFRS colleagues who bravely fought the fire and brought it under control. Today our detectives have arrested a young man. I am immensely proud of everyone’s efforts. #TogetherStonger.

A 19-year-old Spanish man has this afternoon been arrested on suspicion of arson by RGP Criminal Investigation Deparment detectives in relation to this morning's fire at the Mid Harbour Estate.
