Couldn't agree more. Criminally underrated amongst the all time greats. Imagine if the Cowboys actually let him carry the ball 25+ times most games? He was underused and now underappreciated. SuperStud.
100% Qs that win at the highest rate can spin the ball #1 (no questions asked) and play within structure. The caveat is if you have “that” and then get a Q that can extend and make unscripted plays. If you get both you got “one” cuz there aren’t many that can do BOTH well enough
San Fran 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan: Gift and Curse of being a mobile prep Quarterback
-"You got guys like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning. I don't think they were running around in Pop Warner. They weren't in high school. They've had to learn to play since they started playing in the pocket looking down field. And so when they get to the NFL, that's what they've been doing their whole life."
-"It's great to be a great athlete of course, but the problem is...if you've been doing that your whole life, you haven't had many reps of staying in and eventually they'll force you to, and it's hard to develop that in NFL."
-"If you want to be successful in NFL, you're gonna have to be able to do both. And it takes reps to do that. And you're not gonna always get that in college if, especially you have that athletic ability. So it's something you, you gotta be working on, on your own."

@UFLKings You can play other guys there because they were in the NFL, but if you need a 3rd down conversion or the smartest guy in the room #82 is any QBs best friend
@SPURS_POWER@The_DocHolliday 60%–80% of pro athletes face serious financial distress or bankrupt within few years of retirement. 78% of NFL players experience severe financial hardship within 2 years of leaving the league, 60% of NBA players go broke within 5 years. Now give that $ to 18-22 yr olds.
@skinner_77@The_DocHolliday 💯 but can’t force these kids to handle their $ a certain way because someone will take the schools or NCAA to court and say that they are getting a % their $ taken away and it’s a lose of revenue. All for kids getting more $ than the scholly but what’s going on is ridiculous
@RossTuckerPod@gregcosell So basically he is everything a winning team needs their QB to do within game structure. Process the game efficiently and distribute the ball accurately to his playmakers. Run around QBs don’t consistently win games at the NFL level. Splash plays here and there don’t last.
@lindsay_rhodes But guys not getting NFL opportunities even if it’s camp invites because they didn’t run in 4.4s. Football IQ, separation ability (5-10-5), being available to the QB on time, and ability to control game speed (L Drill) is way more important. Can’t convince me otherwise.
And we are sure glad that your journey brought you here to Augustana College! Thank you so much @CoachMaloney14 for being an amazing role model for our players. I will always be indebted to you for making a leap of faith and making a huge impact on @AugieILfootball
@Coach_Carter34 Football is cyclical offensively and defensively and now you’re seeing 90s and early 2000s football emerge again. There’s nothing new schematically that’s being done now that hasn’t been done before, there’s just a little bit of spice added on. What was old is now new.
Ken Anderson is an amazing man and unbelievable human being. Humble, kind, and down to earth. Hall of Famer in every category of life. NO DOUBT he should be in Canton!
Ken Anderson says Hall of Fame -- or no Gold Jacket -- he is good either way.
Son of a high school janitor WW2 vet. Division 3 player. NFL rookie balancing duties in the Army Reserve.
