BREAKING: ECU football coach Blake Harrell has received an updated four-year contract through the 2029 season, after formal approval of the Board of Trustees.
The deal bumps Harrell's salary from $1.3 to $1.5 million annually, and includes further incentives for win totals, postseason milestones, and more.
WATCH: ECU Football Coach Blake Harrell after the Military Bowl win over Pitt “Yeah, we could have focused on losing our offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, or quarterback, or any other player. But that was not our focus. Our focus was on the men in our locker room. Those guys that pulled together, made it about each other, made it about going and getting one last win, and putting number nine on the board. And that's pretty special. I think, you know, that's hard to do- where a kid or individuals or players sit there and say, "Hey, I'm gonna make it more about the team than myself." And that's why I'm proud of the men in our locker room right now.”
