The strongest competitors build the strongest relationship with the truth.

It's built on a clear and simple foundation:

Recognize --> Accept --> Act

RECOGNIZE the truth.
ACCEPT the truth.
ACT on the truth.

Measured by this standard, how strong is your relationship with the truth?

Because you can:

• Struggle to recognize it
• Refuse to accept it
• Avoid acting on it

These are the three root causes of most failure.

1. Lack of recognition
2. Lack of acceptance
3. Lack of action

Recognition is all about awareness, knowledge, and patterns. It’s mental.

Acceptance is all about belief, perspective, and expectations. It's identity.

Action is all about emotions, willingness, and skills. It’s discipline.

If you want to be the strongest competitor, build a strong relationship with the truth.

Recognize it. Accept it. Act on it.

Ask yourself three questions:

1. "What truths do I need to recognize?"

2. "What truths have I recognized but not accepted?"

3. "What truths have I accepted but not acted on?"

Flying home from Michigan with a lot to reflect on. The result wasn’t what we wanted. But the significance of the moment cannot be measured by the scoreboard alone. Last night, Sacramento State took the field as an FBS institution for the first time in our history.
