My school! The most diverse environment I’ve ever lived in was at UMD. I learned a lot about different cultures and made many new friends. I love their commitment to keeping it that way.
If you want d-line drills, teach tape, workouts & courses I’m including with D-Line University…
…I’ll be sending out all my previous “sneak peeks” tonight.

🔥Don’t ever let your opponent capture your shoulder.
Instead fight pressure with pressure by violently pressing your outside hand through your opponent’s soldier.
Here’s a drill to improve this skill.
🔥This is by far the best outside of practice drill to improve your hands.
Have your friends, family or teammates shoot their hands at you throughout the day...
...and your job is to knock their hands away before they hit your chest.
If our Terps football fans were as supportive as they were in the past recruiting would be a lot easier. Locksley can’t do it by himself.
Fans can influence recruiting because they control the environment. It’s been awful at MD for years now.
Pack the stadium and it’s not even close!
🔥When flipping you hips, stay tight to the fight so the blocker can’t reset his hands and stop your rush.
Here’s a drill to practice this by replacing the front foot with the back foot and accelerating to the QB.
🔥Why is the long arm so effective?
It’s simply because one arm is longer than two.
By stabbing with one arm you create separation between you and your opponent…
…and prevent him from punching you.
🔥The sled is your best friend during in season.
With it you can improve your D-Line’s ability to…
1. Explode from the hips
2. Strike with precise hands and
3. Violently throw off
Curious how many of y’all got a sled like this to practice on?
🔥Double teams are the hardest block for any DL to destroy.
To help, here’s a few points to remember when facing this scheme.
Coaching points
• Attack 1 man
• Drive the hip
• Keep feet active
• Throw off when pressure leaves
And here’s a drill to develop these skills.
🔥Your body will follow your toe point.
So if you want to turn the corner…
…make sure to point your inside toe toward the QB.
Here's a drill from @CoachBTJordan to improve this skill.
🔥How to destroy scoop from a 2-technique
Step #1: Press w/ inside hand
Letting the primary blocker seal the LB from their gap is a big no no.
So flatten his path by pressing him down the line with your inside hand.
Step #2: Violently release
Once you’ve flattened out your opponent sufficiently, now violently throw off so you can penetrate through the backside gap.
Step #3: Work lateral & make the play
Last, work lateral to prevent the adjacent blocker from sealing you out of your gap and make the play.
🔥Great D-Linemen don’t think.
They program their body to automatically react to a stimulus through 1000s of reps.
Here’s a drill to improve this skill.
🔥Tight hips & ankles are actively stunting your pass rush ability.
It’s simple.
If you can’t bend, you drastically reduce the moves you can add to your tool box.
However, if you can bend, you can unlock moves (like the one below) that make you near impossible to block.
