Really good stuff here from Jay Wright
“The most open you will ever be is when you first catch the ball….The habits of most players is to catch and dribble or catch and hold”
Great teaching point

Coach Neighbors' Razorback Team Shooting
Put 2:00 on the clock.
(How fast can we score 35pts?)
🔺 3pts for a 3PM
🔺 2pts for a tip-in rebound
🔺 1p for a stick back rebound (i.e., no bounce)
🔺 -1pt for every bounce of the ball on 3P miss
Drill I learned from state champ coach was “6 possessions”
1 min on clock. Goal for starters is to get 6 possessions in a min. Score as quickly as possible, then steal/foul. Shows them they are never out of it.
The mentality won us games, including this one down 6 with 50 sec😱
Today, we remember a legend.
On this day in history, Harambe would have celebrated another birthday. An icon that became part of internet history, American culture, and an entire generation’s timeline.
Tomorrow marks 10 years since we lost him. Ten years since the moment the world stopped scrolling and collectively mourned something bigger than a meme.
He became a symbol of loyalty, strength, chaos, unity, and the strange beauty of the internet bringing millions of people together for one cause: never forgetting Harambe.
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard the news. And somehow, a decade later, his legacy still lives on.
Gone, but never forgotten.
Rest easy to a true patriot. 🕊️🇺🇸

Forever in our hearts.
Small Sided Games & Development: These might be our players’ favorite part of practice. I love that they are working on dribbling, passing, shooting, decision making, advantage, and teamwork (just to name a few). Great work with these @sohmatsuura . #growourgame#intentional
For coaches that love the beauty of offense…
Plays designed so if a team is aggressively trying to take away “the play”, it actually creates more space in their defense😎
So even when they play good/tight defense, they’re being set up for great offense to score😮💨 #ATTACK
Dominoes offense is the future.
🔑 Zero-second decisions
🔑 1 can’t guard 2
🔑 The floor is lava
Basketball is becoming less about actions…
and more about how quickly you can create and maintain an advantage to hunt a GREAT shot.
The best offenses don’t let the defense reset.
They keep tipping the next domino.

🏀 Tyler Underwood teaches this “Ball to Screen” concept used by Illinois.
Instead of sprinting into every ball screen, the screener holds position and reads the defender’s feet and reacts accordingly.

Great drill shared by @Coach__Strick in a previous #GBetBBChat! Up tempo, timed and highly competitive with a point scoring system! Players will get in a TON of reps!
Definitely a drill to build into your practice plan next season!
SSG Saturday: Mack Rebounding
Turned a classic 2v2 rebounding drill into a small-sided game with constraints and incentives to improve competitiveness and rep multiple skills.
