The Wildcats are bringing home the hardware for the first time since 1986 after a 9-5 win over Hayden. It was a hard-fought battle from both sides with momentum swinging back and forth early, until senior Manny Myers came out of the bullpen and shut the door, holding Hayden scoreless the rest of the way.

A full-circle moment for Head Coach Steve Nelson. Back on Mulvane’s 1986 state championship team, Nelson was just a fifth-grade ball boy. Now, nearly 40 years later, he’s the one leading the Wildcats back to the top — a moment that means everything to him and the program.
