Coach Balutis

Taught Randy Johnson everything he knows. BaseBallutacris account free of politics and controversy. Jam-packed with diamond facts and wisdom.

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

@NorwoodonQ T— Tell me with a straight face that these aren’t puns…

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

@wlibpsych @nut_history If we’re talking about mustaches, please include Larry Sheets and Jim “Trabes” Traber.

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

A team win is the best win, and that includes guys who are waiting their turn on the diamond. Baseball doesn’t allow for free substitution, but the dugout keeps it loose, supportive, and active.

Every Warrior on and off the field did this. I just love to be around you.

Flat out brilliant performance on the bump from @RileySagana_ leads the Warriors to triumph against a tough conference foe. Pitch to contact, mix it up, and trust the boys behind you.

And trust the guy who calls it for you. Teddy Angel. #WarriorWay

…last *regular season* game at Langley

3 days off this week had us saying we hadn’t hit our first HR, but the first one would open the floodgates. So we hit the wrist roller, battle ropes, and medicine ball. Core & wrist work, look what happens. @PeterBoerstling @cortbringham

[Wakefield Warriors Baseball @WakeHSBaseball]

Senior Peter Boerstling’s Grand Slam Swing in his last game at Langley Field, where he also homered in his sophomore year.

[Wakefield Warriors Baseball @WakeHSBaseball]

Peter Boerstling GRAND SLAM in the 1st inning.

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

@WakeHSBaseball Flawless back heel action is key to a consistent downward stroke for the betterment of the infield. Exit velo comes from the solid Power L.

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

Is it more impressive that @RileySagana_ got the job done on 89 pitches? Or that he walked no one? Or that he only struck out one?

Definition of grit, and definition of trust in team.

Proud moment for a coach when he visits the mound to tell a pitcher, “This game is yours. Keep throwing ground balls and we’ll end it on a double play.”

And that’s what @RileySagana_ did.

Not seeking credit as a coach, but as a member of the Psychic Friends Network? Maybe.

@Rpacheco0 @WakeHSBaseball Look out Del Norwood and @wlibpsych. Depending on the record keeper, I’m somewhere between 1/100 and 1/200 of the way there, but I’m comin’ for ya!

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

@grantpaulsen Is this satire?

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

@WakeHSBaseball You’re the story, boys. You’re the highlight reel. You’re the real deal.

I appreciate the love and I love the appreciation, but you’re the hype and you’re the glue. Never stop never stopping!

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

Practice in 8 hours:

1. Hard 2B breaks out of the box.
2. Tight turns around 3B.

The sun from left gets in a batter’s eyes at Herndon, @Mason51797788. I know you didn’t steal because you wanted a cool slide, @Adam8Barrington. I get it.

Scoring from first on doubles. ALL DAY.

[Wakefield Warriors Baseball @WakeHSBaseball]

Mason Bull doubles in 1st inning and Adam Barrington scores.

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

Proud moment for a coach when he calls timeout to tell a hitter, “No grand slams. We need a line drive to left center or right center. Stay back…”

And that’s exactly what @beaubranch16 did.

Not seeking credit as a coach, but as a member of the Psychic Friends Network? Maybe.

Shoutout to @cortbringham for… JUMPSTARTING the Wakefield Warriors to victory in conference.

8 K’s in 5 1/3 innings. On a cold night, Corti B brought the heat. The kid’s got heart, and the kid’s got guts. Cort was in session. Batters #BeSeated. Way to bring it!

[Wakefield Warriors Baseball @WakeHSBaseball]

Tonight’s Warrior starting pitcher , Cort Bringham

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

There’s no doubt that I’m busy this time of year, @Orioles, but I can carve out some time tomorrow on an off day to teach you how to execute a rundown without letting the batter get to third base on a ball that never got past the pitcher.

[Coach Balutis @CoachBalutis]

@NorwoodonQ @HarryDevens @ATB_Arsenal A review of personal records and GameChanger shows the game starting at 1:46 AM and ending two hours and 45 minutes after first pitch.
