City DII semifinals. Verdugo Hills 58, Manual Arts 56: The Dons upset the No. 2-seeded Toilers at Narbonne in a City Division II semifinal. Gianmarco Figueroa led Verdugo Hills with 19 points, including four threes. Verdugo Hills vs. Garfield for DII title next Saturday at PCC.

HS Coaches have:
• 3-4 teams/levels to manage
• Around 50 athletes to take care for
• Near 100 parents to please
• 7-10 admin to report to
• 5-10 assistant coaches

High school coaching is becoming an extremely difficult profession!

People call coaches crazy because they work long hours, deal w/ parents, seem to have the toughest critics, don’t get paid much but they seem to keep coaching.

They realize the value in changing lives + helping these kids achieve their goals + teach character through athletics.
