After identifying what you want, reverse engineer the process that will get you there; then focus on that process and let the results take care of themselves. Additionally, don’t underestimate how long it will take, and how hard it will be.
Don’t underestimate your ability to “figure it out”. You’ll need some guidance, some direction; but what you need more than anything is to put in the work. As you consistently produce, you’ll gradually find pieces to the puzzle—your puzzle.
Struggle. Fail. Adjust. Enjoy.
If you love what you do, you’ll go all in. You’ll embrace the pain of improvement and the boredom of consistency. If you love it, failure won’t stop you from getting up and doing it again. It’s easy to tell if someone truly loves what they do, because actions reveal commitment.
Does the weight room work? Yep.
Does it guarantee championships? Nope.
Does culture work? Yep.
Does it guarantee championships? Nope.
You have to work.
You have to compete.
You have to develop skill.
When you meet your opponent, who will be stronger physically and mentally?
Comfort dampens urgency. It lulls you into believing that you can put your dreams off for later. Pain on the other hand, is a catalyst for change. When the discomfort of your current situation outweighs the fear of going for it, big things happen. Embrace the discomfort.
Your habits will tell you how committed you are, what you’re focused on, what matters to you, and why you’re getting the results you’re getting. At first, creating a habit is unbearable; then it’s uncomfortable; if you stick with it and are consistent, it becomes unbreakable.

It’s a trap to think you won’t experience pain, failure, struggle, or fatigue. Those who don’t realize these things are part of the journey tend to resist them. The more you try to avoid difficulty, the more you are going to suffer. Stop resisting adversity and embrace it.
