With any sport, athletes should feel safe at practice. Safe to try new techniques being taught. Don't be worried about not winning every rep. As a coach I want to see you take the drill to competition. I'm also a believer if you're not going hard that's when injuries happen.
Two courts going at open gym - one with HS guys and the other with current/former college players. On one side no one wants to be embarrassed as the guy who works too hard at an open gym in the summer, and on the other court no one wants to lose. Mentality makes a huge difference
Feels good being back on the mat doing what I love. Usually I don't talk about my time in the military unless kid ask. But it was really nice to have the Army guys come and talk to the kids. Teach them a little about the Army and the many different uses of what HOOAH can mean.
Successful 1st Summer wrestling camp for JCC! Huge thank you and HOOAH! to The United States Army, SSG Becker, SFC Gamble, and SSG Thomas for supporting our program and speaking at our camp ! It was great to see all the kids !
