Will be playing summer ball with the
Mat-su Miners in the Alaska League
We have exciting news to share for all youth and high school players in the South. After many discussions, we are taking over the Free Agents Baseball Academy in Webster on Bay Area Blvd as of June 1st.
We now will have an indoor facility…
This speaks to the broken mindset in many involved in youth sports. One is a paying customer paying for a product and service, the other is under a contract to receive millions to perform.
We tell parents to relax and not treat youth sports as the big leagues but we equate them paying us for our services similar to a big league contract where the money flows in the opposite direction?
In the service industry/capitalistic society, the answer is make your product better and let the chips fall where they may. If you do not like that the consumer will always try other things/shop around then you dont understand the business you are in.
But these same groups are also mad when parents and players dont want to pay 500 plus dollars for uniforms every season so they can receive their huge commission checks. Make it make sense.
If you're signed to go to a junior college and the coaches are telling you not to play summer baseball or load management hot garbage.
Find a way out of your scholarship or go post grad for a year.
Every credible junior college coach that I know wants their incoming guys playing all summer.
Juco isn't the country club league.
It's for grinders that want to play.
