The younger they are, the more patience you must have with them. You must see the long road, not just the next weekend....
Yes performance on the weekend matters but you need to be setting yourself up for the long game of improvement. If you arent doing that, then you will be behind with the physical skill gap closes and it going to close at some point.
A recurring theme when speaking with parents that went to camps during the fall/spring is how college coaches are imploring players to get used to training against shapes, speeds, angles and high intensity and some pressure from the ball.
Too many freshmen are showing up never having worked in environments like that and its severely hampering their ability to adapt and adjust to the demands of a college practice session. Too many players and parents want to play the short game (only worried about the next weekend)
Had a great weekend with my team at the IG Warm Up!
Stayed patient at the plate (7 walks and a double in 5 games) and felt good defensively. Excited to compete at the TC Texas State Championships in Plano this weekend!

Now more than ever players need a healthy relationship with the game.
A great perspective on outcomes, understanding things they can and cant control.
Clear set of goals that arent outcome based and a healthy perspective on their performance.
Cage Convos
1. You create the conditions that cause that bat to come from the side.
2. The entire bat rotates.
3. Using the bat better should give you more advantages.
One of them is the ability to just concentrate on the ball because you're no longer concerned about the bat.
