@notthefakeSVP The problem with society today SVP. Holding kids (as a HS Coach) tougher than ever. Their parents, or higher ups often bow down to parents/pressure, etc. Entitlement is rampant.

⚾️Take pride in not striking out
⚾️Focus on quality AB’s
⚾️Be obsessed with putting the ball on the barrel

Try it, and I bet your batting average will improve, your power numbers will increase and your on base % will skyrocket.

There’s a lot to be said for just putting the ball in play and finding barrel🙏🏽💯

@tromblybaseball I will say this Steve, it is a very tough job. It is also getting tougher (atleast on hs level) to hold some of these kids accountable. The stipend is a joke for the hours and what we do/put up with.

It does not matter how you want to or try to explain it, the pure number of fielding errors, individual mistakes, base running mistakes, lack of focus in the dugout, lack of preparation, walks allowed, good pitches to hit but not swung at, pitches out of the zone chased, passed balls, wild pitches thrown, and yes, coaching mistakes, will ALWAYS outnumber the missed calls by umpires in any given game. ALWAYS!! Make sure your effort and attention is on the right things.
