TEAMS TO KNOW 2026: Carrollton (GA)

Carrollton enters 2026 coming off a 14-1 season, a Georgia 6A state runner-up finish, and a #8 ranking in the #PublicSchoolsTop25.

The Trojans reload with another roster built for big games under head coach Joey King (@CoachJoeyKing), led by QB CJ Cypher (@CJCypher7), OL Kweli Fielder (@KweliFielder), WR Rontre Welch (@2waytrey), DB Tyler Boyd (@TylerBoyd_2028), DL Mike Thomas (@mikethomas_____), and DL Demetrius Carter (@DemetriusC50).

The schedule backs up the expectations, too.

With Catholic (LA), West Charlotte (NC), Douglas County, Westlake, and Rome headlining the slate, Carrollton will be tested against both out-of-state competition and some of Georgia’s top public-school programs.

After finishing #8 in the 2025 Public Schools Top 25, the Trojans enter 2026 as one of the premier public-school teams to watch nationally.
