Pete Gawkowski was much more than a baseball guy. He was a leader, a builder, and a man with a sharp business mind who cared deeply about people and his community. From rebuilding Marsh Field to creating opportunities for people across West Michigan, his impact will last for generations, and his presence will be greatly missed.

I was proud to serve as GM and pitching coach for Pete with the Muskegon Clippers. I’ll never forget the bus rides, the field work few saw, and the late-night talks about how to keep getting better. Those summer nights under the lights at Marsh Field will always be special.
