There are people God places in your life that leave it permanently better. Coach Newman and Coach Hoot are two of those people.

@Coach_BNewman — a softball legend and a woman who loves the Lord with everything she has. It shows in the way she coaches, the way she mothers, the way she treats every single person she comes across. She doesn't just talk about her faith — she lives it, every day, in every room she walks into. There is no one quite like her.

@JohniganSteve — a man who has poured so much into the games of softball and baseball, into the art of hitting, and into the people around him. His knowledge is matched only by his joy. He brings laughter wherever he goes, and that laughter is a reflection of a heart that is full and grateful.

We won't have this same coaching staff again and they will be missed immensely. But the fingerprints of two people who love Jesus and love this game will be on this program forever. The 2 of them have changed so many lives, including mine.

@BUMoore has built @BaylorSoftball on a foundation of Christ, and it will continue to stand. God blessed this staff richly, and I will always be grateful for what He did here. Sic 'Em forever, Coach Newman and Coach Hoot. 💚🐻💛
