East High School Welcomes Dan Mast as New Head Baseball Coach
East High School is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dan Mast as the new Head Baseball Coach for the Trojans' 2025 season, pending board approval.

A 1993 graduate of East High School, Dan Mast brings a deep-rooted connection to the school and community. Raised in Evansdale, Iowa, Mast enlisted in the Navy after high school, where he dedicated four years to working on naval aircraft. Following his naval service, he continued to serve his country in the Army National Guard for an additional three years.

Dan has been an integral part of East High athletics for the past seven seasons, contributing to the football program in various capacities, including Head Freshman/Sophomore Coach, Assistant Offensive Line Coach, and Special Teams Coordinator. Additionally, Mast has been a key member of the East High baseball coaching staff for six seasons, serving as Head JV/Sophomore Coach.

East High School Athletic Director Tim Moses expressed enthusiasm for Mast's new role, stating:

“We’re excited about Coach Mast stepping into the role as the Head Baseball Coach here at East High School. His loyalty and commitment to the programs here at East High School truly speaks for itself. His passion and enthusiasm for our programs have allowed him to develop positive relationships with our student-athletes, enabling him to cultivate not just athletes but leaders.”

East High School looks forward to the continued success and growth of the baseball program under Coach Mast’s leadership.
