College coaches…get in on this guy early because he’s about to blow up. Elite get off and closing speed. 4.6 electronic 40. Long jumping 21 feet already and broad jumped 10 feet last weekend. Had about a dozen dunks during basketball season and he threw em all down with authority. Solid student and high character young man. Checks all the boxes.

Youth sports in general is a mess, athletes are playing fewer sports and only choosing to specialize in one or two at younger ages. Regardless of that, here’s my message to anybody considering giving up football.

I was a three sport athlete throughout high school which meant I made a lot of friends outside football. In the 25 years since I graduated high school I have never had a single friend tell me they regret playing football. On the flip side, I have had countless friends tell me they wished they played football.

It’s the ultimate team sport that teaches you the game of life like no other. It’s also unique because you can only play it for so long unlike most other sports you can play recreationally forever. No secret, it’s tough and requires a high level of commitment, but you’ll look back glad you did.
