Joh'Vonnie Nakia Jeboo Jackson (born August 30, 1974) is an American author and the paternal half-sister of pop icons Michael and Janet Jackson. Born to Jackson family patriarch Joe Jackson and Cheryl Terrell during their 25-year extramarital affair, she was raised in California largely outside of the famous family spotlight and shielded from public view. Growing up as the "secret" sibling, Joh'Vonnie experienced a complicated relationship with her famous half-siblings, describing feelings of isolation, rejection, and exclusion. Despite these distant family dynamics, she maintained a close bond with her father and eventually built a relationship with his wife, Katherine Jackson, who later allowed Joh'Vonnie and her daughter, Yasmine, to stay in her home rent-free. In 2018, she published her raw and personal memoir, Bastard Child, detailing her emotional journey of navigating life, seeking belonging, and finding peace as an outsider to one of the most famous musical legacies in history.
Shane Battier on Miami LeBron and why LeBron is the GOAT:
“For as good as you think he was, he was that much better. I’m biased, but when people say LeBron or MJ, I say LeBron did something twice, that I don’t think Jordan could ever do once. He won two NBA titles with Shane Battier as his starting PF. I love Mike, one of the greatest of all time but LeBron did it twice with me as his bum ass PF….. The force, intelligence, he didn’t have a weakness when he was in his prime. There was no answer for him. He was like the Queen on the chess board. Could do everything.”

As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.
If we don’t SUPPORT our own, who will?
The Black Coaches Association proudly congratulates both NBA Finals head coaches, Mike Brown and Mitch Johnson.
History will be made as two Black head coaches meet on basketball’s biggest stage in the 2026 NBA Finals.
This opportunity has only happened a handful of times in NBA history, making this moment even more significant for the game and for the next generation of coaches who aspire to lead at the highest level.
No matter the outcome, one thing is certain:
A Black head coach will be crowned NBA Champion.
We celebrate the leadership, resilience, preparation, and excellence that both coaches have displayed throughout their journeys.
Good luck to Coach Brown and Coach Johnson.
They WIN. WE WIN. ✊🏾🏆
