The vast majority of coaches are not going to play players they don’t think can help them win games. This idea that coaches are just leaving players on the bench that are able to help them win is absurd. Does it happen? Sure. Is it common? No. Now, there are certainly instances of coaches not knowing how to use players or not seeing talent. But coaches are not just sitting players they think can help the team win. It’s really that simple.
