@Mike_Jagacki Leaking out is a gamble because of short misses... I teach it as an option, I don't tell my players to do it or not to do it.
They need to understand it to get a feel for the passing option and also to guard against it in transition D.

@mshaughnessy11 Yes I count that as the step because the College (and HS) rulebook does.
We need to change the rulebook to allow drives like this.
Add the gather step like NBA and FIBA do.
Normal 2 step layups like this should not be travels according to any rulebook.
