@CoachTatum90 Team Alignment, and I am not talking about how we line up vs Empty. Ex: goals, values, expectations. We are also implementing a new practice tool called 'The Standard Chart' that I am excited to see put to use.
@CoachTatum90 I'm going to assume we got our stance/starts done in pre-practice and are in mid-season form.
1. Iowa Drill (Base, Down, Reach)
2a. Pull Drill (Wrap, Kick)
2b. Combo Progression (Ace, Deuce)
I would rotate 2a/2b with my young dudes in one group and older dudes in another.
@CoachFBInsights The game of football is copy-and-paste. The question is can you paste and coach it? If an offense runs IZ/Counter, Quick game, RPO, but shifts, motions, gives the QB check options, and does it at a damn high level, is that an offense?
@coachklee@CoachTatum90@FDPlayBook Absolutely. With the run piece of this RPO being QB designed, he needs to take a "rocker" step to get his eyes on his read and feet working to be in a position to throw the bubble or fit the run called. Also helps with timing for both the run/pass pieces.
@coachklee@CoachTatum90@FDPlayBook I would assume the 'pitch' on this is actually a bubble. If the Sam brings pressure or gets out lev. we are throwing the bubble. We would teach out RT to block his normal counter rules here.
@Coach_ChadJohn We leaned on 8-10 plays as our opening script. We would then rep that script on air / vs bags early in practice on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. The kids loved knowing what those first few calls were. We found ourselves starting much faster on Friday nights.
