Here’s your reminder that Trinidad Chambliss threw for more yards than Fernando Mendoza in 2 fewer games started and that Kewan Lacy only ran for 93 less yards and 2 more TD than J Love yet the former HC stole all of the oxygen from both Heisman campaigns.
What do we gotta do to get these uni’s back in the rotation? While our current black and white alternates are sweet, nothings been as good as these! @tgoff11@KUAthletics@adidasUS
Ashton Jeanty currently leads all RB’s in the nation in…
• Carries
• Yards
• Yards per carry
• Rushing TD’s
• Most 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+ & 70+ yarders
• Broken tackles (single season record)
• Yards after contact (single season record)
• Total points
He’s rushed for 125+ yards in 11 straight games, which hasn’t been done since Troy Davis in 1996.
Through 11 games Ashton sits 19th all time in a single season for rushing yards and 14th in rushing TD’s. He still has at least 3 games to go. (With a meh game next week of 125 yards, it would move him 8th in the “history of NCAA”. 2 TD’s would move him tied for 6th)
Jeanty has faced more 7, 8 and 9+ boxes than any player in the nation. Even when faced with 9 or more defenders in the box, he’s averaging 2.2 yards per carry.
His recent #HEI2MAN moment, Jeanty was injured to open the 3rd Q, would miss multiple drives. With the team struggling, Jeanty entered the game and ripped off 53 yards on 4 carries for the game winning drive. Boise falls in this game without Jeanty’s toughness.
This.. this is what a Heisman looks like.
Lyndon HS has an enrollment of 123 in their high school in grades 9-to-12 combined. They have three current players on full ride scholarships at FBS Power 4 Top 25 ranked football programs. Kaedin Massey (left) of #18 Kansas State as a true freshman, Tanner Heckel (center) as a true freshman at #23 Illinois & Miles Kitselman a senior starting TE for the #8 Tennessee Volunteers where he has 2 TD receptions this season. Massey and Heckel played 8 man in high school as seniors where they won a state title last year. While Kitselman played 1A 11 man as a senior. Lyndon has a population of 1,037. Pretty remarkable stat. #sportsinkansas
Good luck to former Lyndon Tiger, Miles Kitselman who gets the start today for the Tennessee Volunteers! Once a Tiger, always a Tiger. Get after it Miles!!
Congratulations to Tanner Heckel for placing 1st in the triple jump, 1st in the long jump, 1st in the javelin and 1st in the 100 M at regionals and qualifying for state. Tanner also reset his school record in the long jump with a jump of 23-9.00.
There's a tournament for $1,000 for the winner of NCAA 14. You have to pick one team and stick with them the whole time throughout the tournament.
