After having a 103 degree fever the day before and dealing with a really bad sinus infection I’m blessed to still have had a really good camp and able to put some really good numbers up at @CoachAVC_FDU Mega Camp yesterday.

There is power in understanding that pain is part of the process, failing is part of the journey. Choosing the easy road doesn’t lead to growth, it leads to mediocrity. It’s not about avoiding the struggle, it’s about developing the ability to thrive in it. The lesson is in the hard - hard is the lesson!

Congratulations to Jake on being inducted into the National Honor Society!
This honor is a reflection of far more than just your academic success. It represents your hard work, discipline, character, leadership, and commitment to excellence both in and out of the classroom.
As his dad, I couldn’t be more proud of the young man he has become. Watching him navigate challenges, stay true to your values, and continue to grow as a student, athlete, leader, and person has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.
Remember that achievements like this are earned one day at a time through consistent effort and doing the right thing when no one is watching. This recognition is well deserved, and I know it is only one of many great things God has planned for your future.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23
Keep striving, keep leading, and keep trusting God. Mom and I love you and are incredibly proud of you.

Every day, recommit to the things that matter most. YOU empower YOURSELF when YOUR priorities are in line.
If YOU want it YOU’LL make time for it.
If YOU don't make time for it, YOU really don't want it.

Growth happens when we stop relying only on ourselves and start trusting the Coach who sees the bigger picture.
God’s guidance, wisdom and promises never fail. Even when we struggle, He is still working in our lives for His purpose.
Trust the Coach. Trust His plan. 📝

Just One More
When people look for “the secret” or the magic bullet, there really isn’t one. But, there is one technique that comes close to build your grit.
It’s called just one more.
Here’s how it works:
Whatever we are doing, we all reach that finish point. This strategy plays when we reach the end of our day, the finish of our workout, or even the completion of a task.
When we reach that point where we are “done”, then we need to push ourselves to just do one more. Write one more paragraph, make one more call, do one more rep, or one more sprint.
It will increase your mental toughness because “just one more” is how we push ourselves past our current limits and it guarantees that we finish every task strong!

God’s Plan
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”Proverbs 3:5–6
Lord, help me trust Your timing, Your wisdom, and Your plan even when I cannot see the path ahead. Give me peace to surrender what I cannot control and faith to walk where You lead.
Amen 🙏🏼
Preparation can take you far, but surrender to Jesus changes everything.
When we stop trying to control every outcome and trust God fully, our effort becomes purpose driven and our confidence is rooted in Him.
Jesus is not just part of the plan — He is the strategy.

There are 3 kinds of athletes.
1) All in! Show up early, work hard, communicate with coaches. Outcome: Coaches and teammates trust them to get the job done on the field. Most likely to earn a high level of playing time if athletically capable.
2) Show up sometimes. Typically late. Communicate after the fact. Outcome: Coaches aren’t always sure what they’re going to get from them, so this impacts playing time.
3) Missing in action. Don’t show up, don’t communicate, no good reason for missing. Outcome: They eventually get passed by players who are committed and dependable. Typically are cut or quit the team.
Which one are you?
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5
Lord, give me wisdom, peace, and courage to make the choices that honor You.
Help me trust Your direction even when the road is difficult. Amen
Choosing what is right won’t always be the easiest option, but character is built when you stay devoted to goodness.
Don’t let shortcuts or compromise define you.
Let your identity in Christ guide the way you compete and live.
