Clarinda takes a two-game lead over Creston in the Hawkeye Ten baseball race with a 3-1 win, scoring twice in the 7th on Cole Baumgart’s single with the bases loaded. In softball Creston won 10-2 to move into a first-place tie with the Cardinals.
This run was literally the difference in Oregon State going to the College World Series… because of a lack of hustle.
Exactly how NOT to play the game of baseball, kids.

I heard a U13 select volleyball coach yelling at his team while the parents listened in.
“You all need to take this seriously if you want to play collegiate volleyball. Stop screwing around with other sports. Focus just on volleyball year around.”
The girls were all about 5’3 being sold a lie.
If this sounds familiar, pull your kid from that team asap.
Just watch the @NFL draft. Even the greats played multiple sports.
Life is too short. Play multiple sports.
Why?
Before you know it, it’s all over. Even for those that make it to D1 or pros.
The most common comment I get from alumni that didn’t play football while in high school is “I regret not playing football for you.”
No regrets. Play multiple sports!!

"We don't become you. You become us."
The best motivator on a team is the next guy. It is the bench. It is the opportunity to compete.
Focus on the things that contribute to winning.
- Work Hard
- Be Honest
- Be On Time
- Compete Every Day
These are still the things that matter most.
