Call me a bad football coach and fan but we're about to enter the worst stretch on the football calendar: nothing but smaller guys wearing pajamas clowning each other in 7v7 and big guys in t-shirts and shorts losing 1v1 reps and being excited about it.
Crowd roars as Kid Rock pays tribute to the Bible and Jesus at the All-American Halftime Show.
Beautiful lyrics. You would never, ever hear anything like this sung at the Super Bowl.
“There’s a book that’s sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off. There’s a man who died for all our sins hanging from the cross. You can give your life to Jesus, and he’ll give you a second chance…”
Kid Rock: “If the NFL really were all about its stated goals and really wanted to take care of their fan base … there's a band that checks every single box from San Francisco, by the name of Metallica.”
@Beasley__F@BLester1993@clint20white I wasn’t there when Walton had that kid. I was at West Florida High School- maybe the only school in the state that couldn’t get transfers. I have coached in Pensacola a long time - i am familiar with recruiting - didn’t like it then and I don’t like it now. We’ll keep working
@Beasley__F@BLester1993@clint20white Yeah, i guess after watching the FL/GA finals and I saw the talent and heard (in many cases) the huge number of transfers - I feel like community schools - have to go out and get players to have a chance to compete at that level. It’s disheartening.
@Beasley__F@BLester1993@clint20white I guess that’s why i’m out of it. Transfers at an all time high, NIL, street agents - I will just coach my position and let you head coaches worry about all the administrative issues that our state faces. I just don’t like the direction it is headed.
@Beasley__F@BLester1993@clint20white They have great athletes- but if they are allowed to draw from another group of kids that don’t go to their school - they have an advantage that other rural schools don’t have. Just having talented players - there is nothing wrong with that.
@Beasley__F@BLester1993@clint20white They haven’t done anything- I have never coached at a rural school- but rural coaches claim Madison draws athletes from another school and school isn’t counted in their student population- if I am wrong- I apologize. But I have been told that by numerous coaches for many years.
@Beasley__F@GageBrownCCA Coach Beasley, you probably know more about the ins and outs of referees than most of us - but most of the youth organizations I have seen use the same officials organizations as well. They probably get a NFHS certification and adjust rules according to who they are calling.
