NEW: Oklahoma high school principal seen charging at and disarming a school shooter in footage obtained by @SHumphreyTV.

Pauls Valley High School Principal Kirk Moore is being called a hero after getting shot while stopping a school shooter.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Victor Hawkins, was a former student who said he wanted to shoot up the school “like the Columbine shooters did.”

While taking down the shooter, Moore was shot in the leg. He is expected to recover and says he is looking forward to returning to work as soon as possible.

"I look forward to returning to work as soon as possible so that I may continue my life’s work educating the next generation of Oklahoma leaders. Until then, my thoughts are with our outstanding students, safe today in the arms of their families and friends," he said.

@JoeyheronCSCS @WeAre0wensboro No kidding PMX is the company? How is the quality? I have seen a 4-8k range for the Dual Stack trainer from other companies & a 1500-3k range for the Glute Ham machines. I will have to check them out.

@JoeyheronCSCS @WeAre0wensboro Holliday’s a special place that understands the importance of athletics. Great machines but expensive. Easily in the range of 50-100k in equipment on that wall. Very difficult sometimes to get admin to understand that. I hope more communities invest in their kids like Holliday

It’s more about the community not being united anymore everyone going to the games on Friday night or being downtown for the homecoming parade. It left awhile ago when they planned to build developments with 5000 houses
