Am I the only one who cringes at this?
If QB keeps the ball, he gains at least 4 and maybe gets close to the first down marker.
He throws it 10+ yards backwards for an extra 6 yards. Protect the football!

Board drills are more useful than 1v1 pass rush.
In short yardage scenarios, your stance should change.
“Roll your hips” is not a useful coaching cue.
Away, but get the back out of it. Use backfield action to carry flow away from the ball. Treat it like a bubble screen with way more grass.
Why carry the defense to where the ball is going? Let your dudes be dudes in the open field.
