The higher the level of basketball, the more athletic & intelligent the shot-blockers are. When players aspire to get to the 'next level', they need to keep this in mind in their workouts.

When it comes to finishing around the basket, two of my favorite PGs to study this season are Stephon Castle & Tre Jones.

While both are physically strong, they're very different because of their heights.

They both offer details to add to your game or your players' PD plan.

There are certain details with finishing that all the elite finishers have an understanding of.

Here are examples of both Jones and Castle using the rim as protection, getting the contesting defender under the rim or on the opposite side of the basket before elevating.
