@JME_2003@Coach_Burrell1@football_allen That depends what your definition of power is but thats a semantics debate and i dont have it in me to do that today lol
@JME_2003@Coach_Burrell1@football_allen Oh youre talking about the kenny Simpson stuff. Thats not belly thats 1 back power and a completely different offense.
it hits too fast to do either of those 2 things in a traditional wing T set
@JME_2003@Coach_Burrell1@football_allen Ok so yes youd be correct BUT that would require one of 2 things. Either youre going to have to move the H over to be the lead or youll have to pull the wing into the hole which… sure flipping the back to the strong side would be a pretty heavy adjustment
@football_allen@Coach_Burrell1@colburn42 The 1 tech to the strong side is the issue. You either gotta reach/cut with the center or go back on him with the tackle and niether of which aren’t great answers
@colburn42@Coach_Burrell1@football_allen 2) as far as trap is concerned yes you could trap the 5 in theory but that causes other problems. 1, that is a completely different track for the back 2, it doesn’t hit near as fast and again you got to get to the second level consistently to execute it at all
@colburn42@Coach_Burrell1@football_allen Ill bite.
1) If your OL is good enough to get to the second level consistently then more power to ya. Otherwise if thats your answer you’re putting yourself in a real sketchy spot if you have competent ends and linebackers youre seeing

How did I take youth athletes who had gone winless in 30+ point blowouts the season prior, to the first winning regular season (5-2) and first playoff win in program history?
Being willing to ask those who know more than I. Stay a student.
