Now that it’s official, I want to thank KI Athletics for this opportunity and trusting in me to lead our program. “Dreams without goals are just dreams.” Our standard is rooted in our goals. Time we turn our dreams into a reality in our quest for greatness. This is #TheBucsWay

The definition of a field general, and a dead eye when it comes to throwing guys out. If this were a video game, he’d have S-Tier badges across the board.
His ability to control the run game, slow things down for pitchers in high-leverage situations, and serve as a second mouthpiece for the manager is what separates him.
What these videos don’t show is his off-the-field preparation: film study on opponents, game planning, preparing with me to make sure we’re on the same page, and giving feedback to our staff during bullpens.
These are all traits that college programs and higher-level teams look for in a strong backstop.
With all the calls and texts I’ve received about this young man this year, my response has always been the same:
“He’s a gamer. Healthy or hurt, he wants to win. What you see in his game is just the surface.”
We had an incredible run this season that fell a little short in the State title game.
Voted 1st Team Catcher & Pitcher of the Year by the conference coaches. Thank you!
Looking forward to a great summer w/DCP National 2027.

Why Defining Player Roles Is so Important
1. Allows for Transparency
Players have a clear understanding of where they stand within the program. This creates open communication and allows for honest, non-awkward conversations between players and coaches.
2. Removes the Element of Surprise
Players know what to expect and when they need to be ready. Whether they’re an everyday player, platoon player, or coming off the bench, they understand their role and can prepare accordingly when their opportunity comes.
3. Promotes Development
Clearly defined roles allow players to focus on the areas that may be holding them back from becoming a platoon or everyday player, or vice versa. It gives them a roadmap for improvement and a better understanding of what they need to do to earn more opportunities.
Another ‘29 to keep an eye on the next couple years. @Mjw_bucs24 provided a lot to our team at the plate, on the mound, & in the OF. Big things coming…

Kid went from sitting 75-77 topping 78 in the fall to sitting 79-82 and topping 84 in the spring for us. Shows the ability to miss barrels in the zone. He also has a flare for the dramatic. 1.2 IP, 4 Ks, 0 ER in the State Championship Game as a freshman.
Talented 2-way with a lot of versatility. The ‘29 played a large role in this year’s run to the state title game. One to keep an eye on the next few years.
