Strong global awareness prepares young athletes for (slightly) more specific, complex tasks. Good training should never deviate too far from general preparedness. Mimicry maybe highest form flattery but has no place in good physical prep. Simple progressive overload king.
So pumped to be involved in this project and get more evidence based research out there with @FieldHockeyCan female high performance development pathway in collaboration with @FieldHockeyOnt and @UofT@JustineBranco & Malinda Hapuarachchi can’t wait to get started.

Deceleration & Landing Mechanics: Teach the body how to effectively load through hip, knee and ankle joints. Reduce chances of injury due to lower impact forces with proper mechanics. Power production - correct mechanics will set you in the optimal position for the next movement.
We have enjoyed being onsite with a number of different organizations to provide field based testing. A great way to evaluate your training program, provide you with informed measures to improve with proper programming & set new goals for future training.
