@coachlip When he died, his autopsy found that his heart weighed 22lbs. A normal horse is 8lbs. He was literally born a machine! The extra strength in his cardiovascular system is crazy.

@coachlip If you’ve never seen the movie it’s incredibly well done at telling his story. I think the reason it was such a huge deal was the fact that he shattered track records and won by an insane amount. The other horses in the race finished with times that would be winning times today.
