Taylor Jenkins & Brush Cut
The brush cut is a cut that targets the opponent's transition defense with a fastbreak runner's early backdoor or a rim runner's trailer cut. Except for teams that use tagging up for transition defense, most teams try to sprint to the paint and matching up afterward. So, when the fastbreak runner makes an early backdoor, it automatically creates a defensive collapse, which leads to long close-outs or open 3s for the offensive team. Also, if the offensive team cannot get an open 3 with that cut, they adjust the spacing and are already breaking the overload at the beginning of the offense.
