49 years ago today: Dave Wottle, a Bowling Green senior, arguably runs the greatest race of all time and wins the 800m at the 1972 Olympics.
Gotta be the first guy to win gold after the announcer wonders during the race if he’s “seriously injured.”
Sometimes we get lost in life. We don’t know if we should go up or go down, left or right. We lose our focus, passion, motivation, and desire. When all that happens, you still must grind!
Stay hard!
Lydiard talks of the joy and fun of running. The exhilaration of running long distances in pleasant surroundings, with company. The acquisition of condition, the positive mindset it achieves, the energy. It shouldn't be a chore. If it is, you're doing it wrong.
Let me hurt some feelings. I CAN’T STAND people that don’t work hard. Zero tolerance policy. Every time you do anything, you sign your name to it saying this work REPRESENTS ME. The way you work is a reflection of who you are so, whatever you do, give it 100% effort.
@CherWitt26 Congratulations as well. Almost always close, regardless of what was on paper. We look fwd to seeing you soon!
