As for teams, maybe pregame players select players somehow out of a random selection. Idk how you would make that very balanced but if there’s a will there’s a way.

Ik the dev said that online retro bowl will probably never happen but I like an idea I had.

Players take turns on offense playing against the cpu defense. There could be a ranked ladder where players play harder defenses the better they perform in online matches.

There could also be an unranked mode where players choose the defense difficulty they play against and play against others playing that same difficulty

Then some kind of friend matches would be nice for tournaments and such.
