September 1st.

A date that has probably been circled on the calendar of every 2028 player for quite some time. It’s exciting. It’s nerve-racking. It’s full of possibilities. Congratulations to the class of 2028 for entering into this new step of your journey! Here’s the most important reminder for every athlete navigating today: September 1st does not define a recruiting journey and it does not define who you are.

There is no “behind” in a journey that was never meant to look the same as someone else’s. Recruiting isn’t a race, and September 1st certainly isn’t the finish line. Every athlete’s timeline is different, embrace it. The work put in when nobody was watching still matters. The early mornings, late nights, extra reps, long tournament weekends, emails sent, camps attended, good grades, tough losses, big moments and everything in between still matter. Today is the beginning of an exciting new chapter. To every 2028 chasing the dream of playing college softball, enjoy the moment, trust the process, keep working, and remember there is still SO much of the story left to be written.

For Coach Kyla, coaching has always been about developing confident competitors, preparing athletes for the next level, and helping young women grow both on and off the field. As a former collegiate athlete, she brings firsthand experience, competitiveness, and a genuine passion for the game into everything she does. Her players are challenged to understand not only how to execute, but why—building stronger game IQ, confidence, and the ability to compete in high-pressure moments.

Coach Kyla is committed to creating opportunities for her athletes, advocating for their goals, and pushing them beyond what they believe they’re capable of. She believes in setting a high standard, competing against strong competition, and creating a culture where hard work, accountability, family, and growth is evident.

Her mission is simple: develop the athlete, prepare the competitor, and positively impact the young woman behind the jersey. #bluebloods
