Too often players “creep” closer to the basket and ball thinking I want to get the ball. We need to help them understand we need to be unselfish by backing up. Make space or a reversal. Not about you scoring.
First full week of HS games in rearview mirror. Some people pleased and others not pleased at all. Take a deep breath! Things take a couple of weeks to evolve. Nobody eliminated on 12/18 and no one hanging a banner yet

Lost but not defeated. Going to let it sting for a night but we’ll be back getting better tomorrow. Progress is rarely linear and the process is never easy
You can’t practice slow and then expect to play fast.
You can’t rep out a skill comfortably and then expect to execute it forcefully.
You can’t have a casual approach to your development and then expect to turn it up when it matters most in competition.
