This is AWESOME. We need more of this - good coaches getting more chances at important coaching jobs instead of handing out jobs to former players like candy just because.
If Vitello is a success in SF, this is a game-changer
The San Francisco Giants are reportedly close to hiring Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello as their new manager, per @Ken_Rosenthal & @Britt_Ghiroli
Player Spotlight: Talon Coker
(‘27 Tahoma High School) A lanky right-handed pitcher w/ a fluid, effortless delivery down the mound. Projectable frame, offering plenty of room for added strength. Chance for an up-tick in velo as he continues to develop physically.

Beckett Turnbow (‘26 Tahoma HS)
Elevates and celebrates here mashing a triple. Does a good job getting the hands extended at contact. Picks up 2 hits in this one.
Player Spotlight: Adam Jay
(25’ Tahoma Hogh ) features a smooth, pure left-handed swing w/ impressive natural power. He pairs his raw strength w/ excellent plate discipline & advanced pitch recognition. His ability to adjust to different pitch types is evident, as he demonstrated both raw power and quick hands in this one. He sent an absolute laser over the CF’s head for an rbi 3B, also showed off his 2k approach driving a backside 2B into the LCF gap.

Grateful to have just finished my 10th year of coaching high school baseball. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have gotten to coach at three amazing schools. Thank you to all of the coaches, players, and parents who have been so great along the way! Here’s to 10 more!
This has been a special group of dudes! First freshman class I had when I got to @TahomaBaseball. It’s been an absolute blast to watch all of them grow as players and as people!
