D3 athletics has never tried to be anything other than what it is and that is one of the things that make it truly beautiful! They place athletics into a lane and that’s that. It’s one aspect of the STUDENT athlete experience. They don’t want to be professionals while in college. It’s a wholistic approach and just one part of it. And MANY of these schools do it VERY well!
